TEACHER GROWTH

When analyzing an educator's effectiveness, an essential element is identifying their growth, evidenced by planning, reflecting upon, and adaptation of their methods and best practices within the classroom. Through constant implementation, reflection, and adjustments within my classroom, I have demonstrated educational growth, which is reflected through my utilization of  various assessments, planning methods, and instructional strategies.

Assessment

Assessment is one of, if not the, most important aspects of teaching. In order to provide students with the supports and feedback required to ensure their academic success, educators must constantly assess where their students are when it comes to their understanding of content and skills in order to adjust their teaching accordingly.

Planning

Planning is essential in effective education. In order to make true change in the classroom, teachers must actively plan for what they will implement in the classroom. In doing so, educators are able to make strategic and deliberate choices in best practices to utilize instructional time and ensure student success.

Strategies

The act of implementing teaching strategies is the culminating factor in transformational teaching once educators master assessment and planning. Understanding how to create, implement, reflect on, and adjust instructional strategies is imperative in education. When identifying and practicing a variety of strategies, educators are able to provide students with strategic, meaningful, and differentiated activities and understandings.
